Thomas Santore (b. 2002) is a Boston-based composer of acoustic and electronic music whose work seeks to embody metaphysical and cosmological concepts through sonic relationships. Ideas drawn from literature, philosophy, and history often serve as the basis for his pieces, whose immersive textures and shifting intensities aim to make abstract concepts felt “as immediately as the odour of a rose,” as T.S. Eliot describes in The Metaphysical Poets. His works have been performed by ensembles such as Sound Icon, the FLUX Duo, and the American Wild Ensemble.

Santore is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Composition at Boston University, where he is studying with Matthew Aucoin, has studied with Joshua Fineberg, and is set to graduate in 2027. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Composition from Butler University, where he studied under Michael Schelle and Frank Felice.
